The paper outlines the need for a formal policy on the question of students repeating PGT programmes where the good cause regulations do not apply.
Action Requested
Academic Standards Committee is invited to consider the proposal that repeating PGT programmes should only be possible in cases where adverse circumstances outwith the student’s control have significantly disrupted their learning. Repeats should not be permitted due to under-performance caused by other circumstances, including grade penalties imposed for academic misconduct.
