As agreed at the May 2019 meeting of ASC, the Annual Report to the Scottish Funding Council on Institutional-led Reviews of Quality is being submitted for ASC endorsement. The Report covers all summaries of ILR outcomes undertaken during Session 2018-19. A report of Periodic Subject Review outcomes and action taken had previously been submitted to the October meeting of ASC, and these can be found under Sections 2.1 and 5.2 of this Report. Appendices 4 and 5 have been added to provide ASC with a wider overview of PSR recommendations and good practice.

ASC’s attention is drawn to the number of recommendations related to supporting staff (14) and enabling staff to participate in scholarly training and involvement with strategy and teaching developments, peer assessment and opportunities to receive feedback on teaching performance. There were also a number related to appropriate and optimal use of administrative support staff.

Academic Standards Committee is asked to endorse the Report and to consider whether any further University-wide action is merited.
