Brief description of the paper 

The attached paper is the report of the meeting of the Joint Board of the University of Glasgow and Edinburgh Theological Seminary (ETS) held on 30 October 2018.

Action Requested 

Academic Standards Committee is asked to approve:

  • The remit and membership of the Joint Board of the University of Glasgow and Edinburgh Theological Seminary for 2018-19 (Appendix 1);
  • The recommendation that the current validation period for the following programmes delivered at ETS be reduced from 6 years to 5 years (Page 1):
    • Bachelor of Theology
    • Master of Theology (by Research)
    • Master of Theology in Scottish Church History and Theology; and
  • The appointment of an ETS staff member as an Associate University Lecturer (Appendix 2).

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note the remainder of the report.

The Clerk to the Joint Board.
