Brief description of the paper 

In May 2017, the Undergraduate and Postgraduate (UPC) Programme Approval Meeting at the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) approved the MEd in Learning, Teaching and Supervisory Practice in the Creative Disciplines. Academic Standards Committee (ASC) at its meeting in November 2017 validated the programme for a period of six years, commencing in January 2018.

The recommendations were made at the UPC Programme Approval Meeting in May 2017, and it was agreed that these should be considered and a report with regard to progress against the recommendations made to the Committee within 12 months.

Action Requested 

ASC is asked to consider the adequacy of the responses and the progress made.

Equality implications 

Equality considerations and equality impact assessment are embedded and mainstreamed at GSA. An Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) was undertaken and submitted along with the programme approval documentation to the UPC Programme Approval meeting. Through the EIA, several positive impacts were identified and no negative impacts were identified for protected characteristic groups by the programme team.
