Brief description of the paper

Academic Standards Committee at its meeting on 6 October 2017 agreed to give in-principle approval to a major programme amendment proposal for the MSc Visualisation programme at The Glasgow School of Art, for implementation in 2019-20.

The attached paper is the minutes of the GSA Undergraduate and Postgraduate Committee Programme Approval meeting (held on 14 February 2018) at which it was recommended to GSA Academic Council that a major programme amendment to the MSc Visualisation programme be approved. GSA Academic Council subsequently approved this recommendation.

The paper states that ‘the changes to the programme structure were influenced by the Postgraduate Taught (PGT) credit reform process’ at GSA.

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note that the Programme Team has met all conditions detailed in the attached paper. To satisfy Conditions 2 and 3, in relation to the suspension of part-time study options, an impact study and full Equality Impact Assessment was undertaken and approved by the GSA Executive Group on 1 May 2018.
