Brief description of the paper

Under Summer Powers 2017, the Academic Standards Committee received the Report of the Periodic Subject Review of History of Art. The recommendations contained within the report were approved for onward transmission to those identified for action. This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations.

The Subject area has asked that the Committee be aware during the PSR response period there were two Heads of Subject - Dr Debbie Lewer (to June 2017), and Dr Anita Quye (October 2017 onwards, 3 year appointment) - and one Acting Head of Subject - Professor David Hopkins (June to Oct 2017). There was also a period of industrial action by teaching staff from 25 February to 23 March 2018.

The Convener of the Review Panel would like to commend the Subject and School for the comprehensive responses and developments undertaken since the Review. Some of the procedures being established could indeed be disseminated as good practice.
