Two matters raised by the ASBS in relation to the PGT dissertation.

ASC is asked:

1. In the context of a proposed broadening of the dissertation component offered on the MBA, to consider what features are required in a ‘substantial independent work’ to ensure appropriate academic rigour.
2. To consider an in-principle proposal for the introduction of a one-year MSc Quantitative Economics including a 40-credit rather than 60-credit dissertation.

Both issues relate specifically to ASBS PGT programmes but wider implications for other programmes will be taken forward by Senate Office.
