Brief description of the paper 

Under Summer Powers, Academic Standards Committee received the Report of Periodic Subject Review of the School of the School of Mathematics and Statistics. The recommendations contained within the report were approved for onward transmission to those identified for action. This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations.

The Convener considers that the Panel’s recommendations have been given reflective and thorough consideration and commends the School for the actions undertaken following the Review. Attention is drawn to Recommendation 5 on Graduate Attributes, where a further update might be useful.

Action Requested 

Academic Standards Committee is asked to consider the adequacy of the responses and the progress made. Academic Standards Committee is also requested to discuss the Recommendation 13 regarding the issue of limited flexibility of choice between Colleges.
