Brief description of the paper

The attached paper outlines a proposal from the Glasgow School of Art (GSA) for the development of the MSc in Environmental Architecture. The proposal was approved, in-principle, by GSA's Executive Group in October 2015.

The proposed programme will be delivered within the Mackintosh Environmental Architecture Research Unit (MEARU) and the Mackintosh School of Architecture (MSA). It will draw on existing research expertise and provide complementary, but distinct, content to that offered by related pathways within GSA's MArch in Architectural Studies programme.

Subject to approval of the programme by Academic Standards Committee, programme approval documentation will be developed by GSA early in session 2015-16 and submitted to the University in April 2016.

GSA aims to recruit and enrol the first cohort in September 2016.
