At its meeting on 14 November 2014, Academic Standards Committee received the updated responses to Recommendation 2 and 4 arising from the Review of Physics and Astronomy held in February 2012. It was noted that both issues related to resources from outside the School, and had been long-running. Current reports indicated that they remained unresolved and ASC therefore sought further updates as follows:

Recommendation 2:

Feedback on the outcome of Court’s consideration of the Estates & Buildings report on the need for investment in the Kelvin Building for disabled access (April 2015).

Recommendation 4:

Feedback on the College plan for administrative support for teaching and research, and confirmation of whether this will result in increased administrative support for the School.

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note the updated response in relation to recommendation 4 and consider whether any further action can be taken at this stage. A response to Recommendation 2 will be reported to the May meeting of ASC.
