Brief description of the paper 

At its meeting on 15th of November 2013, Academic Standards Committee received the updated responses from the review of School of Medicine. They requested a further update on Recommendation 5 to be submitted to the October 2014 meeting, minute extract below:

"The Review Panel strongly recommends that the School undertakes a review of Problem Based Learning (PBL) provision to ensure uniformity of depth of content and to ensure that proper controls are put in place to prevent the educational benefits of PBL being undermined by inappropriate practices"

Academic Standards Committee is asked to consider the adequacy of the updated response and the progress made.
