Brief description of the paper 

This paper contains a report of the review and revalidation of programmes in the subject group Sport and Tourism at SRUC, held at Oatridge Campus on 26 February 2015. The subject review incorporated the revalidation of the programme below. The Review Panel highlighted a number of conditions (three) and recommendations (five) throughout the report - see sections 6.3 and 6.4. Other key information on the revalidation is contained in section 4.

Action Requested 

The Committee is requested to note the conditions and recommendations contained in the report and to approve the revalidation of the programme above BA (Hons) Sports Coaching and Development for a six year period commencing session 2015-16.

The Committee is also requested to note that that a number of Sport and Tourism related degree programmes have been withdrawn from offer in the last few years – see details in section 3.2 (second and fourth paragraphs).
