Brief description of the paper 

Report of the ASC Programme Approval Group for the College of Medical, Veterinary & Life Sciences. The Group met on 18 March 2014 to consider proposals for new programmes and major changes to existing programmes.

Action Requested 

ASC is requested to note the observations of the Programme Approval Group and to confirm its recommendations.

The PAG recommends the following programmes:

Master of Public Health (joint degree with Sun Yat Sen University) - New

MSc Cancer Sciences - New

MSc Clinical Trials and Stratified Medicine - New

MSc Primary Care (joint degree with Sun Yat Sen University) - New

MSc Sport & Exercise Science and Medicine (Distance Learning) - New

Master of Public Health - Major Change

MSc Biotechnology - Major Change

MSc Sport & Exercise Science and Medicine - Major Change

MSc (MedSci) Medical Genetics - Major Change

The PAG recommends the following programmes subject to the satisfactory outcome of actions identified in the report:
