Cover Sheet

Mrs Catherine Omand, Senate Office

Brief description of the paper

At its meeting on 15 November 2014, Academic Standards Committee received a report on progress with a number of recommendations identified previously by ASC. Recommendation 4 concerned the issue of dedicated teaching administration being allocated from the College. It was noted that the College was in the process of reviewing its dedicated teaching administration in order to implement a new system for the 2014-15 academic session. A further update was therefore requested for ASC in May 2014.

Action Requested

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note the updated response and that it is still unknown as to whether the additional post of teaching administrator has been approved and that the School was unlikely to know until the end of autumn, once the student numbers for 2014-15 have been identified. ASC is asked to consider what further action, if any, can be taken or whether a further progress report should be requested.
