Cover Sheet

Mrs Lesley Fielding, Clerk to the Review Panel

Brief description of the paper

At its meeting on 24 May 2013, the Academic Standards Committee received the Report of Periodic Subject Review of Celtic and Gaelic. The recommendations contained within the report were approved for onward transmission to those identified for action. This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations.

The Convener considers that the Panel’s recommendations have been, mainly, given full and appropriate consideration. However, with regard to recommendation 2, the Convenor would like to bring to the attention of ASC his concerns that the Subject Area does not appear to have considered alternative strategies.

A further update on progress with recommendations 1 and 2 is requested in one year.
