Periodic Subject Reviews 2012-13: Summary of Recommendations

Brief description of the paper 

An examination of the recommendations made by PSR Review Panels in Session 2012-13 has been undertaken with the aim of identifying themes or issues that might require attention at a broader level, either across College or the University as a whole or which should feed into University strategies such as Learning and Teaching or Estates.

Two main themes have been identified: Resources for Learning and Teaching and Assessment and Feedback. Other broader categories included: Learning Opportunities; Curriculum; Recruitment; Aims/Intended Learning Outcomes; Student Support and Strategic Aims.

Action Requested 

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note this overview of the recommendations and to consider whether any further University-wide action is merited and should be initiated.

Academic Standards Committee is also asked to note that the requests to take forward individual recommendations have been forwarded to the relevant individuals by the Senate Office following the Committee’s consideration of the full PSR reports in May 2013/Summer Powers and to note the University level action is already in progress.
