Brief description of the paper 

At its meeting on 25 May 2012, the Academic Standards Committee received the Report of Periodic Subject Review of the Undergraduate School of Medicine. The recommendations contained within the report were approved for onward transmission to those identified for action. This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations.

The Convener considers that the Panel’s recommendations have been given full and comprehensive consideration.

The Convener proposes that ASC invite a further progress report in relation to Recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 19 & 20.

Action Requested 

Academic Standards Committee is asked to consider the adequacy of the responses and the progress made.
