Brief description of the paper

The attached is the Report from the meeting of the Joint Liaison Committee of the University of Glasgow and SRUC, held on 20 November, 2012.

Action Requested

Academic Standards Committee is asked to approve retrospectively:

  • the Membership of the Liaison Committee for 2013-14 (item 1, Appendix 1);
  • the proposed changes to the timetable for future Periodic Subject Reviews/re-validations (item 3.6.2). Additionally, ASC is asked to approve a further change to the timetable that has recently occurred. The Periodic Subject Review of Applied Science and the re-validation of programmes within the subject have now been delayed until October, 2013 due to a sudden change in circumstances for staff involved in the review. The delay will not affect the currency of the re-validated programmes, which are validated until the beginning of session 2014-2015.
  • the list of new members of staff to be recognised as Teachers of the University (item 3.7.3, Appendix 2).

Academic Standards Committee is asked to note the remainder of the report.
