The attached paper contains information on the validation of the BSc Garden and Greenspace Design programme.

ASC is asked to note that the report is that from the reconvened panel. The panel first met in June, 2011 and advised, in its report (see Appendix 1), that further revision was necessary prior to validation. The panel reconvened in April, 2012. The Committee is asked to note the report from the reconvened panel on the BSc Garden and Greenspace Design and to approve the recommendation that the programme be approved as an award of the University of Glasgow from September 2012.

The Programme Team will implement any recommendations.

The University receives validation fees for validated provision which includes a per capita fee for students on validated programmes.

The programme will commence in September 2012.

SAC has an established equality policy in place.
