Brief description of the paper 

The attached paper outlines the proposed changes to Joint Board reporting. ASC, at its meeting in April, received and were content with, the draft proposal (see Minute ASC/2011/56). The attached paper is the final draft for approval.

Action Requested 

ASC is asked to note that the implementation of the new reporting structure will entail the appointment of ASC reviewers to scrutinise College Joint Board reports. It is suggested that the new reporting structure be evaluated at either the April or the May meeting of ASC in 2013. ASC is asked to note the revised guidelines for Joint Board reporting and to approve them for use from session 2012-2013.

Timescale for Implementation 

The proposed implementation of Joint Board reporting is from September 2012, with evaluation of the new structure occurring at either the April or the May meeting of ASC in 2013.
