The Glasgow School of Art: Re-alignment of Periodic Review

Brief description of the paper 

The attached paper outlines a proposal for the re-alignment of Periodic Review at GSA. The aim of the proposed changes to the timetable is to balance more evenly the number of reviews per academic session to allow for a manageable review workload. The changes have been developed bearing in mind the requirements of SFC and QAA. Advice was sought from the Senate Office prior to redrafting the proposed timetable.

Action Requested 

ASC is asked to note the proposed revised timetable and to approve the re-aligned schedule for Periodic Review.

Head of Academic and Student Services, Dr Craig Williamson.

Resource implications 

The University receives validation fees for validated provision which includes a per capita fee for students on validated programmes.

Timescale for Implementation 

The revised timetable is scheduled to operate from the current academic session.

GSA has an established equality policy in place.
