Items for approval

1. ASC is asked to approve ARSC's proposals in relation to the criteria to be applied by Honours and PGT Exam Boards in the exercise of discretion when making final awards.
2. ASC is asked to consider ARSC's proposal to explore the possibility of adopting a universal schedule of assessment in place of current Schedules A and B.
3. ASC is asked to note ARSC's views regarding credit loads for study abroad, including the recommendation that this should be covered by policy rather than in regulations.

Items for noting

ASC is invited to note ARSC's consideration of:

• Regulations concerning maximum duration of study
• College of MVLS principles relating to the operation of progress committees.

ARSC will take forward further work on issues under discussion; Senate Office will take forward incorporation of regulatory changes into the University Calendar 2012-13 and the development and dissemination of supporting guidance.
