Proposal for Intercalated Masters Degree on the BVMS Degree

Cover Sheet

Ms H Butcher, Clerk to the Committee

Brief description of the paper

At its last meeting ASC gave approval in principle for the introduction of an Intercalated Masters degree by Research on the BVMS programme, whereby BVMS students could, after third year, undertake the existing Masters Degree by Research.

While approval of PGR degrees does not fall within the remit of ASC, and the Masters by Research is an established degree, the intercalation from the BVMS degree requires formal consideration and it was therefore agreed that the proposal should be considered by the College of MVLS and then reported back to ASC for final confirmation.

Documentation relating to the College approval of the proposal is provided in the paper.
