Report of the ASC Programme Approval Group for the College of Social Sciences. The Group met on 2 November 2011 to consider proposals for new programmes.

ASC is requested to note the observations of the Programme Approval Group and to confirm its one recommendation.

The PAG recommended the following programme for approval subject to the satisfactory outcome of actions identified in the report.

MEd Childhood Practice - New

For the following proposed programmes the PAG was currently unable to recommend approval for reasons identified in the report. The issues of concern will be taken up with the College and an update will be given to ASC in February on whether approval can be recommended.

MLitt Environment, Culture and Communication - New

MSc Environmental Education and Communication - New

MSc Environmental Science, Technology and Society - New

Actions requested will be taken forward by College administrative staff and progress monitored by the Clerk of the Programme Approval Group.
