Brief description of the paper 

At its meeting on 28 May 2010, the Academic Standards Committee received the Report of the Review of Departmental Programmes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment (now Periodic Subject Review) of Glasgow University, Dumfries Campus held on 18 and 19 February 2010. The recommendations contained within the report were approved for onward transmission to those identified for action. This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations.

Action Requested 

ASC is asked to confirm the adequacy of the responses and the progress made. ASC is also asked to:

  • consider the adequacy of the responses and progress made;
  • note that the School is still progressing actions in respect of recommendations 2, 5, 8, 9, 17, 19, 21 and 22 and should update ASC with a follow-up report;
  • note that the School is looking for guidance from ASC in respect of recommendation 3 regarding the provision of details of distribution and breakdown of performance details for students.
Recommended Person/s responsible for taking action(s) forward 

The Senate Office will seek a further update to a timescale agreed by ASC, if this action is agreed.
