Annual Monitoring in Session 2009-10 – Overview Report from the Quality Officers Forum

Cover Sheet

Dr Martin Macauley, Convener, Mrs Marjory Wright and Mrs Catherine Omand, Senate Office

Brief description of the paper

Last session's Faculty Annual Monitoring Reports were scrutinised by the University Quality Officers Forum as an interim arrangement to bridge the transition from the previous Annual Monitoring procedures to the new arrangements introduced in Session 2010-11. In future College Quality Officers will submit their College Annual Monitoring Summary (CAMS) direct to the Academic Standards Committee (ASC) which will improve the efficiency of the process.

This report contains an overview of Annual Monitoring for Session 2009-10. Since Faculty Annual Monitoring Reports have already been scrutinised and approved by College Learning and Teaching Committees or their equivalent and matters requiring the attention of Schools and/or Colleges are being progressed, the report concentrates primarily on good practice identified for dissemination within the wider University, recurrent themes and matters that have been identified for the attention of the University, and feedback on selected topics from the University Learning and Teaching Strategy.
