Cover Sheet

Brief description of the paper

The information in the papers accompanying this item is confidential information of the University of Glasgow. The information must not be released in response to any request without first seeking advice from the DP/FoI Office.

Academic Standards Committee's remit includes receipt of annual reports for degrees which the University awards jointly with other institutions.

It was agreed previously that all annual reports received should be submitted to ASC, and that for the degrees where Glasgow was the lead institution, each report should be considered in detail by two nominated ASC reviewers, similar to the model used for considering DPTLA/PSR reports.

Action Requested

ASC is requested to consider whether the Annual Reports received from the Joint Boards (appendices 2-4) provide adequate information on annual monitoring, programme changes and operational issues. [NB The Senate Office has redacted sections of the EngD SLI report - appendix 2 - to remove personal student data.]

ASC is requested to consider in detail the two reports provided where University of Glasgow is the lead institution.

ASC is asked to reconsider the most optimal timing for future reports to be received.

Resource implications
