Brief description of the paper

In advance of publication of a new web course catalogue, the paper proposes an institutional policy on comprehensiveness, data quality and timing of publication.

Action Requested

ASC is asked to comment on and approve the recommended policy. The main recommendations are:

1. All courses will be published in the catalogue (no opt-in/out).

2. Departments will be responsible for content of their course web pages and ensuring these are checked prior to web publication.

3. The web catalogue will be published annually in mid July.

Recommended Person/s responsible for taking action(s) forward

The Senate Office in coordination with the PI Project Team.

Resource implications

Staff within each department will be required to take responsibility for the quality of published course data.

Timescale for Implementation

If approved, the policy will be immediately put in place.
