Brief description of the paper

Report of the DPTLA Review of the Department of Mathematics held on 12 and 13 February 2009. The report concludes with twenty-two recommendations addressed to the Head of Department, one of which is also addressed to the Dean and two of which are also addressed to the Director of Recruitment, Admission & Participation Services and to the Director of International & Postgraduate Service.

The report was considered out of committee during July. Following scrutiny by Dr Cotton and Professor Jenkins there was some further dialogue with the Panel Convener and some minor revision was made to recommendations 5 and 12. The report was then approved by the Convener of ASC and the recommendations have been transmitted on to those identified for action.
