Brief description of the paper

ASC will receive a presentation from Jack Aitken on the Enhancement-led Institutional Review (ELIR) that will take place, with visits to the University on 20 and 21 October and on 23-27 November 2009.

Members have already received hard copies of the full ELIR Reflective Analysis along with appendices and case studies and are asked to bring these to the meeting. Copies are also available at:

The two attached diagrams (appendix 1 and appendix 2) depict the University’s framework of arrangements for quality assurance and enhancement and their relation to national requirements and are provided to help set ELIR and the University’s approach to it in context.
