Cover Sheet

Mr J Craig, Clerk to the Review Panel

Brief description of the paper

At its meeting on 30 May 2008, the Academic Standards Committee received the Report of the Review of Departmental Programmes of Teaching, Learning and Assessment of the Department of Economic and Social History held on 10 March 2008. The recommendations contained within the report, all of which were addressed for the attention of the Head of Department, were approved for onward transmission.

This report details the responses and the progress made to date in implementing the recommendations. The report has been considered by Professor Neal Juster, the Convener of the Review Panel, and he is satisfied that the Panel’s recommendations have been given full and appropriate consideration. He recommends, however, that, with respect to Recommendation 4 (which is concerned with opportunities for group work among Honours students), the Department be asked for a progress update in 12 months time.
