Brief description of the paper

At it’s meeting on 3 October 2008, Academic Standards Committee received an update on responses to two recommendations for the above Review which had been held on 20 and 21 April 2006.

It was noted that a further update on the linking between mature student access and part-time degree admissions would be provided after a one year period in October 2009. An update on the trial evening hours opening of catering facilities taking place in October would be presented to either the November or February meeting of ASC. The update is attached.

Action Requested

ASC is asked to note that the trial of extended opening hours for the catering outlets in the St Andrew’s Building was successful and that the extended hours will be continued.
