An update on external developments concerning academic quality management. The paper covers:

• The outcomes of the SFC review of the Scottish Quality Enhancement Framework;
• The likely timing and preparations for the next ELIR at the University.

ASC is requested to note the report.

Much will be taken forward by the Senate Office, though some issues will extend across the University.

New developments in the national Quality Enhancement Framework will require staff resource for compliance. There will be resource required for the implementation of the KIS (Key Information Set) and for ELIR3 at the University.
